Catherine Fisher

Catherine Fisher was born in Newport. An English graduate of the University of Wales, her first novel, The Conjuror’s Game, was Shortlisted for the Smarties Prize and The Snow-Walker’s Son for the W. H. Smith Award. The Oracle, the first volume in the Oracle trilogy, was Shortlisted for the Whitbread Prize. In 2007 her novel Incarceron won the Mythepoeic Society of America’s Children’s Fiction Award and was selected by The Times as its Children’s Book of the Year.
